RSSC Names 2022 Executive Committee Leadership Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As it continues to advance its mission to support candidates who will defend democracy by protecting the integrity of our nation’s elections, the Republican Secretaries of State Committee (RSSC), a caucus of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), today named its 2022 executive committee. The announcement comes as national liberals are ramping up their interest in the 26 secretary of state races that will take place this year because they see control of these offices as a way to change the rules to compensate for their inability to win elections with their failed socialist agenda. National Democratic special interest groups have already pledged to spend at least $37 million on secretary of state races this year.

“Our country is built on the foundation of free and fair elections, something that can never be taken for granted,” said Tennessee Secretary of State and RSSC Chair Tre Hargett. “As we begin this election season, I am committed to making sure our elections are carried out safely and fairly. With Democrats prioritizing these races like never before, I am extremely excited to be the chair of this fantastic executive committee we put together to ensure state Republicans continue to hold the line against DC Democrats’ radical agenda to overhaul and control our election system.”

“Ensuring that our elections are conducted in a safe and fair manner has been a top priority of mine in my home state of Kentucky,” said Kentucky Secretary of State and Vice-Chair Michael Adams. “It’s an honor to be able to work with this executive committee that is focused on keeping our elections fair and legal as we fight back against attempts by Democrats to destroy our election system for partisan gain.”

“Protecting Ohioans’ elections is one of my top priorities as secretary of state and is something we take very seriously,” said Ohio Secretary of State and Finance Chair Frank LaRose. “I am incredibly excited to be a part of this executive committee, which is committed to supporting those who administer our elections with transparency and fairness. Democrats will continue to try and overhaul our election system by pledging to spend millions of dollars in these races to implement their failed socialist agenda, but they will not succeed.”

ABOUT RSSC

Protecting the integrity of our elections has never been more important. Through the Republican Secretaries of State Committee (RSSC), one of the four caucuses of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), we are working to elect leaders who champion policies that make it easier to vote but harder to cheat. Secretaries of state also oversee trademark and business registration, run the library and archives operation, manage professional licensing, and perform other critical tasks that encourage the state’s economic development. Since 2007, RSSC has achieved tremendous success and Republicans currently hold 27 out of 50 secretary of state offices.

ABOUT RSLC

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is the largest organization of Republican state leaders in the country and only national committee whose mission is to recruit, train, and elect Republicans to multiple down-ballot, state-level offices. Thanks to our growing network of grassroots supporters in all 50 states, we help deliver wins for Republican state legislators, lieutenant governors, secretaries of state, agriculture officials, and state judges across the country.
