RSLC Launches Committee’s First-Ever Spanish Language Ad in Five Battleground States

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As Democrats continue to lose ground with Hispanic voters across the country, the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is continuing its efforts to grow the Republican Party in the states by launching the committee’s first-ever Spanish language ad. The 30-second spot, narrated from the perspective of a Hispanic American, highlights how Democrats are taking Hispanic voters for granted and ignoring their top concerns, while Republicans offer an alternative, freedom-focused agenda that gives Hispanic Americans the opportunity to create better lives for themselves and their families.

The ad will be backed by a five-figure buy and air on digital platforms in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, and Texas. All five states are targets for the RSLC in 2022 and Nevada was upgraded earlier in July from a state where the committee will try to “make meaningful gains” to an “opportunity to flip chambers.”

“While Democrats think they deserve automatic loyalty from Hispanic voters at the ballot box regardless of the harm their destructive agenda is doing to the country, state Republicans know that growing their support with Hispanic communities can only come from continuing to fight for a freedom-focused agenda that lifts up all Americans,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “Hispanic voters want good paying jobs, affordable goods, safe communities, and a quality education for their children, and the RSLC will keep deploying innovative voter contact tactics like this to remind them that those are all products of Republican leadership in the states.”

NARRATORDemocrats don’t take us seriously.

JILL BIDEN (Clip): Si Se Puede

NARRATOR: They take us for granted. Democrats are great at pandering but not governing. And their policies are making it harder for all Americans to thrive. Good jobs, affordable gas and groceries, and a great education. These things don’t exist under Democrats' one-party rule. Republicans believe that success lies in the freedom to prosper  - because it does - and Republican policies will move us forward.

SPANISH TRANSCRIPT

NARRATOR: Los demócratas no nos toman en serio.

JILL BIDEN (Clip): Si Se Puede

BACKGROUND

This latest outreach to Hispanic Americans by the RSLC follows it successfully supporting Texas Republican John Lujan in flipping the heavily Hispanic House District 118 in a special election in November of 2021. Lujan was a member of the RSLC’s Right Leaders Network, which the committee launched in the fall of 2021 as a redoubling of its longstanding efforts to grow the Republican Party from the ground up by recruiting, training, and supporting more women and diverse candidates for state office.
