RSLC Statement: Republicans Defend Majorities in New Hampshire Legislature Despite $1.4 Million in Spending from National Liberal Outside Groups

RSLC Invested $528,000 to Support New Hampshire Republicans in State Legislative Races

WASHINGTON, D.C. – New Hampshire Republicans overcame $1.4 million in spending from national liberal groups to defend their majorities in the General Court.

“Congratulations to New Hampshire Republicans on defending their majorities in the General Court,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “Even though national liberal groups like the DLCC were ‘all-in’ on taking back control of both chambers, Granite State voters made clear that they are pleased with the record of results New Hampshire Republicans ran on during this campaign. New Hampshire has the best state economy in New England because state Republicans cut taxes and kept businesses open. The RSLC is proud to have helped New Hampshire Republicans hold the line in this election and look forward to their continued success countering Joe Biden’s inflation.”

New Hampshire was one of the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee’s (DLCC) top target states. The DLCC spent over $845,000 to flip both chambers in the state, saying in a March 2021 strategy memo that they were “all-in on New Hampshire and taking back control.

The RSLC combatted this surge in support from the DLCC by investing $528,000 in state legislative races in New Hampshire.
