RSLC Releases Closing Ad in Michigan State Legislative Races

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) today released its final ad in its effort to help Republicans hold their majorities in Michigan’s Legislature. In its closing spot, the committee reminds voters that Democrats in the Legislature have blocked relief as costs continue to balloon and would force Michiganders to pay even more if they gain control of Lansing. The 30-second ad is backed by a five-figure buy on digital platforms and is running in:

  • SD-4

  • SD-12

  • SD-14

  • SD-30

  • SD-35

Recent RSLC  battleground polling in Michigan shows that the percentage of voters who say addressing the cost of living should be the top priority of state government continues to grow as we near Election Day. The same data shows more than 70% of voters are less likely to support a state legislative candidate that voted against cutting the state’s income tax.

“Michiganders are already paying more for everything from groceries to gas to home heating thanks to Joe Biden’s failed policies, and state Democrats will have them paying even more if they gain control of Lansing,” said RSLC Deputy Communications Director Mason Di Palma. “As Michiganders continue to struggle with these ballooning costs, Michigan Democrats have voted against cutting the state’s income tax, suspending the gas tax, and even opposed tax breaks for seniors and children. Michigan families worried about their financial futures’ must reelect Republican majorities who will stand firm against the radical liberal policies responsible for this devastating inflation.”
