RSLC Congratulates Shelley Grogan On Wisconsin Court of Appeals Win

Washington, DC — The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) — Judicial Fairness Initiative (JFI) tonight congratulates Judge Shelley Grogan on her victory in the Wisconsin Court of Appeals election. Judge Grogan is a long time conservative with over twenty years of experience in the courts and the backing of the law enforcement community.

“Shelley Grogan is an excellent choice for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. She is the kind of judicial conservative that Wisconsin voters trust to protect their constitutional rights and the rule of law, not to promote a partisan, political agenda,” said JFI Vice President Andrew Wynne. “The RSLC-JFI will continue to engage in judicial contests in Wisconsin to provide voters with more information about the qualifications and experience of candidates so they can make more informed choices.”

Grogan’s win comes after a $50,000 television ad campaign launched by RSLC-JFI for the final two weeks of the campaign in support of her candidacy. JFI has engaged in Wisconsin Supreme Court races in the past, however, this project marked the first time JFI was involved in a Court of Appeals race in Wisconsin.

About JFI

Led by Barack Obama and Eric Holder, Democrats are fighting to transform the traditional role of the judiciary from an arbiter of the facts and the law to an advocate for the liberal political agenda. The RSLC’s Judicial Fairness Initiative (JFI) is the only national political effort focused exclusively on halting this transformation by protecting the election and selection of state court judges. JFI provides critical information about judicial candidates in an environment where voters are routinely left in the dark about a candidate’s qualifications for the bench. JFI fills that gap by providing the facts and analysis voters need to cast informed votes for judicial office. Since its formation, JFI has raised and spent more than $19.3 million in states across the country, including Illinois, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Arkansas, Louisiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. RSLC-JFI has previously been engaged in races supporting Justice Brian Hagedorn, Justice Dan Kelly.
