Republican Dan Knodl Secures Victory In Wisconsin State Senate Race

Washington, D.C. – Republican Dan Knodl secured victory in a special election that maintains a supermajority for Republicans in the Wisconsin state senate. Following Knodl’s win, RSLC president Dee Duncan released the following statement.

“The people of Wisconsin made it abundantly clear that they trust Republicans to lead the Badger State and serve as a check on the failed Joe Biden-Tony Evers agenda,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “The RSLC was proud to support Knodl’s candidacy and is confident that he will continue to be a strong conservative voice in Madison to rein in the tax-and-spend liberal policies that continue to drive inflation and hurt the bottom line of Wisconsinites.”

The RSLC spent over $200,000 on independent expenditure efforts supporting Knodl by highlighting his background as a small business owner and job creator, as well as his unwavering commitment to law enforcement as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

BACKGROUND

The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) is the largest organization of Republican state leaders in the country and only national committee whose mission is to recruit, train, and elect Republicans to multiple down-ballot, state-level offices. Thanks to its growing network of grassroots supporters in all 50 states, the committee helps deliver wins for Republican state legislators, lieutenant governors, secretaries of state, agriculture officials, and state judges across the country. Republicans currently control 58 out of the 99 state legislative chambers throughout the nation.

In 2022, the RSLC spent a total $408,000 on state legislative races in Wisconsin. This included an independent expenditure effort to support Republican Romaine Quinn, who flipped SD-25 from blue to red. The committee also ran an independent expenditure campaign to support Rachael Cabral-Guevara in SD-19.
