On behalf of the RSLC, Public Opinion Strategies conducted a Kentucky statewide survey among registered voters likely to vote in the November election, July 19-20, 2023. A total of 500 voters were interviewed on cell and landline phones, and the survey has a margin of error of ± 4.4 percentage points.

BOTTOM LINE

New polling shows there is clear momentum behind Daniel Cameron and the Kentucky GOP as they head into the final months of this critical election. Since June, Cameron has closed the gap in the race for Governor and is now within the margin of error against Andy Beshear. Kentuckians seem poised to keep Republicans in the offices of Attorney General, Secretary of State, and Agriculture Commissioner.

KEY FINDINGS

  • Since June, Cameron has cut the deficit against Beshear in half; the race is a statistical dead heat.

  • Coleman, Adams, and Shell all have strong leads against their respective Democratic opponents.

  • Joe Biden is toxic for Kentucky Democrats.
The President’s image in Kentucky stands at just 31% favorable-67% unfavorable.
